Music
St. George’s has a soundtrack that is a regular part of our lives on the Hilltop ...
Our 50-member choir sings during chapel services, a cappella groups perform current tunes to SRO crowds in Madeira Hall, musicians play solo or with an ensemble or full orchestra at school events, such as Hunter Gallery openings — or Family Weekend in October. Topping off those public events, many of our musically inclined students jam with each other off hours. And many sing their way through the day, too; you can hear them in the dormitory halls and showers, or even in the hallway waiting for their next class — or chapel — to begin.
A Cappella Groups
Our female a cappella group, the Snapdragons, and our male a cappella group, the Hilltoppers are a performance highlight of a number of events throughout the year, including Family Weekend, Reunion Weekend and the Year-end A Cappella Concert. Membership is selective; bonding is guaranteed.

The Chapel Choir
The St. George’s School Chapel Choir enjoys a long-standing tradition of excellence. Choir performances are an essential part of the festive Christmas celebrations, Family Weekends, Reunion Weekend and Prize Day, as well as of the weekly chapel services. Dedication, but no singing background, is required.
